At Top Blokes Foundation, we believe in the power of young people to lead, inspire, and create change. Last week, we saw this belief come to life as our Youth Council stepped into the spotlight to kick off our next three-year strategic planning process.
Our Board gathered with a shared goal: to shape a future that builds stronger, healthier, and safer communities for young males across Australia. But before any plans or decisions were made, we knew we needed to listen to the voices that matter most—the young men themselves.
The Youth Council, made up of young leaders from across our programs, delivered insights, stories, and solutions that grounded the Board in what young males are truly experiencing today. Their contributions reminded us of something we deeply believe at Top Blokes:
Young males are the catalysts for positive change. Their voices are valuable, and their perspectives can help solve the challenges we face as a society.
Here’s what they told us:
Too often, the voices of young men go unheard – but listening to them is the first step to understanding their experiences and creating change. This video shines a light on their stories, their struggles and the perspectives they want parents, teachers and the community to hear.
Young men are the leaders of tomorrow and their voices matter today. By understanding their world, we can better support, empower and nurture them to thrive.
